"The Heart of the Nation triptych embodies the symbol of the Ukrainian people in a giant tree that spreads its branches all around. For centuries, attempts were made to destroy the tree, and its branches were mercilessly cut off, but it survived and, despite all odds, continues to rise, firmly rooted in its native land.
This tree embodies all Ukrainians who want to preserve their right to independence, freedom and peaceful life for both themselves and their descendants. As long as we are fighting, the "heart of the nation" continues to beat. In times of liberation struggle, we must remember that our "branches" and roots are from the same powerful tree that unites us as a nation."
