Anastasiia Podervianska

"In the Lutsk district, thunder is considered to be the sound that comes from the terrible deadly cannon moving through the cloud, which is ruled by the Archangel Michael. Thunder arrows look like either a thin rod or a conical ball. Thunder occurs often when the sky is completely covered with thick clouds because the devils are known to tease God at this time: they run along the roads, spinning in a whirlwind, breaking trees in the forests, tearing roofs off buildings, etc.
To make it easier for Archangel Michael to see where the devil is hiding and to follow the direction of the hot arrow, the clouds are torn apart, and the light of the clear sky breaks through. Lightning in the form of a straight line or dash, zigzags and snakes are formed as the thunderbolt flies after the devil, who flees in all directions."
Anastasiia Podervianska, artist, and participant of the Concentration of the Will project, presented at the M17 CAC.
