Albina Yalosa

The exhibition "Concentration of the Will" at the M17 Contemporary Art Center presents works by the Kharkiv artist Albina Yalosa, known for rendering sacred and mythological images in her art. The Ukrainian artist has been working in the linocut technique for many years. After the Russian invasion, she travelled to the city of Lviv with only a pad and started reproducing her linocuts in the form of digital posters, accompanying them with short rhyming texts. This is how the artist "explains" to herself all the terrible things happening around her.
"My posters are against the war, against the russist invasion, against violence. They speak of death and pain, love and faith, courage and bravery. I work on topics that affect me personally. The works demonstrate support and unity of Ukrainians and gratitude to the Armed Forces of Ukraine," - Albina Yalosa about her series within the exhibition "Concentration of the Will" at the M17 Contemporary Art Center.
Come to M17 to see through the eyes of contemporary Ukrainian and international artists the Ukrainian vision of the will, which is the most important weapon in the liberation war of the Ukrainian people against the Russian invasion.
Organized by the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine, Modern Art Research Institute and M17 Contemporary Art Center. The Art Support Fund provided essential support for the opening of the second stage of the Concentration of the Will project at the M17 CAC.
