About the project

The "Rehabilitation. Art-therapy" is an innovative program of art-psychotherapeutic rehabilitation for mothers and children affected by Russian aggression and in need of psychological support. Over the course, participants of the program take part in various workshops in different forms of art, including graphics, painting, ceramics, collage, etc.
The program lasted for 4 months and included providing the participants with all the necessary materials and took place in the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine and M17 Contemporary Art Center.

  • Approach

    ● During the first hour of the session, two artists will work simultaneously with a group of children and mothers. Participants of the program can use different media including graphics, painting, ceramics, collage, etc.

Through a discussion with the psychologists and an insight into what the participants have depicted, they should get relief. Moreover, through a joint activity, they would get carried away when involved in the therapy process.
    ● After the program is completed, psychologists will write conclusions and prepare a report on the work done.

  • Mission

The "Rehabilitation. Art-therapy" aims to apply artistic practices for direct psychological aid to those affected, as well as to obtain important factual and practical material for the development of effective systems for the rehabilitation of mental traumas obtained during war.

  • Goals

The project aims to use art therapy and art reflection as a means of psychological assistance under the guidance of professional psychologists to those affected and to provide important factual and practical insights for the development of effective systems for the rehabilitation of psychological trauma caused by the war.
